In the past week there’s been about four shootings I’ve heard/read about: mall shooting in OR, elementary shooting in CT, casino shooting in NV, and hospital shooting in AL. My heart and prayers go to the families of those injured and killed. I’m sorry for your loss. Cliched and unfitting words, I know.
While watching TRMS (on podcast!), Dave Cullen—author of the book “Columbine”—said we had to get our depressed teens some help. This immediately brings to mind drugs and more pharmaceuticals. Not good.
After all I’ve read and watched through this year on how what we eat affects what we feel and who we are, I honestly think we have to start there. We have to start with riding our supermarkets of processed shit: from potato chips to canned soups. We have to stop subsidizing corn, wheat, soy, and canola because—shit—Monsanto takes over and we get fucked with whatever crap they inject in those crops DNA.
To cure our bodies and mind to have start with what we put in them in the first place.
